Ava Holbrook
Graduate Student
Ava is currently in graduate school to become a Mental Health Counselor, and she has played an integral role in starting Salvia Healing Collective. She is taking a break from practice management for now to focus on school and only with us on a project basis. We can’t wait until she returns in a new role!
Ava believes in creating open, inclusive, and hands-on therapeutic spaces where no topic is off-limits. Drawing from her experiences working closely with licensed therapists, she prioritizes genuine relationships and activity-based group environments to foster connection and healing.
One of Ava’s biggest passions is addressing loneliness and disconnection—challenges she sees as increasingly common in today’s world. She believes healing happens in raw, vulnerable moments, where individuals can see themselves reflected in others’ shared experiences. Her goal is to help people feel whole again, guiding them toward spaces where they feel seen, supported, and valued.
Ava has extensive experience working with individuals of all ages and backgrounds. As practice manager, she has firsthand experience guiding clients through their first steps toward healing. She also co-hosts group therapy sessions alongside licensed therapists, bringing her own lived experiences to the conversation to create authentic and impactful discussions.
Beyond her work in mental health, Ava is an active leader in her church community, where she dedicates her Sundays to teaching elementary school students in Sunday School. These roles have strengthened her ability to support others, especially in times of uncertainty and emotional hardship.
Ava’s decision to pursue mental health counseling is deeply personal. Her journey has been shaped by her own experiences with anxiety and her PCOS diagnosis, both of which have fueled her dedication to self-healing and growth. She understands the importance of balance and strives to be a strong, compassionate presence for those seeking guidance. By embracing her own healing process, Ava offers a unique and empathetic perspective to those on their own path toward well-being.
