Nice to meet y’all!

We are an eclectic group of therapists, healers, soul care givers, therapists, and counselors who are passionate about providing radically inclusive, liberation based care for people who are struggling with individual, family, community, and systemic obstacles.

We recognize that no one is a good fit for everyone. We recommend reading our bios, learning our approaches to care, and reaching out to schedule a short discovery call to see if one of our collective members is a solid fit for your care.

Building a care giving relationship takes time, and it is an investment of your energy and resources. If you don’t see someone here who may be able to work with you, you may still reach out to us. We are connected to so many great care givers in our communities and across the country who may be able to meet your unique needs. We are happy to refer you to one of our healing community partners.

Why Salvia?

I (Lindsey) started Salvia Counseling as a solo mental health practice in September 2023. Over the years, I have recognized and learned more about the need for radically inclusive, culturally responsive care that does not always exist within the Mental Health and Medical Industrial Complex. After two years on my own, I felt the tug to start expanding and shift from solo practice into a collective model of healing. Salvia is the Latin word for sage, referring to both wisdom and healing plant medicine. The Salvia plant occurs in nature in many different forms, both as an herb and as a flowering bush. What we know as sage can be used for healing wounds and ailments, adding depth of flavor to homemade dishes, and a term we use to refer to someone who is constantly growing in wisdom and truth.

Our logo was thoughtfully designed by Florida artist Meg Wandell who is also a Perinatal Yoga Instructor. Meg combined the hexagon - a symbol of Turtle Island, the land on which we live, and six-sided polygon that represents balance, strength, and harmony in ancient cultures - and the Salvia plant to show our commitment to collective healing and respect for indigenous wisdom across cultures.

Choose your path.
