Somatics for Spoonies

Radically inclusive, intentionally accessible gatherings for adults living with chronic illness, disability, and movement limitations. Facilitated by Lindsey Coates Horvatich, LMHC and fellow spoonie.

Welcome to Somatics for Spoonies! Lindsey is a seasoned mental health provider who also lives with chronic illness, chronic pain and a dynamic disability. After earning her certification in Somatic Trauma Therapy in 2025, Lindsey noticed that too many well intentioned somatic providers were leaving chronically ill and disabled people out of the equation while contributing to stigma around chronic illness and perpetuating ableist perspectives and practices. Lindsey has taken what she has learned as a somatic practitioner and applied it to what she has learned both through personal and professional experience in working with chronic illness and various kinds of disability.

Lindsey offers Somatics for Spoonies online, in groups settings, and in person in Orlando, Florida at The Peaceful Peacock, in intentionally inclusive yoga studio. She seeks to create safe, welcoming spaces for fellow spoonies to gather, move, breathe, stretch, and learn how to listen to the body with compassion and care rather than judgment and shame.

If you are interested in joining Somatics for Spoonies live and in person, our next class will be Saturday, March 28, 2026 from noon - 2pm EST at The Peaceful Peacock in Orlando. Cost is $25 per person, and space is limited. Click here to sign up today!

Lindsey is currently recording Somatics for Spoonies sessions to offer online for a nominal fee. Please come back to access classes as they become available.
