Open to adults age 18+

Are you an Autistic and/or neurodivergent adult who lives with or is partnered to someone whose brain works very differently than your own. You are not alone! Many of us find ourselves in relationship with “normies”, or non-Autistic and non-neurodivergent people, even though we know that no such thing as “normal” exists. These relationships can be a lot of fun, and also come with some unique challenges. If you find yourself in any relationship - friendship, partnership, dating, marriage, family, or coworker - with someone whose mind processes information differently than your own, than you are welcome in this group. We will gather live, online via an encrypted meeting platform with a maximum of 12 people to learn how to identify and express our needs in the following areas: communication, stimulation, and sensory input and output and to develop your own Personalized Needs Menus to help navigate the chaos and unpredictability of the holidays and in-person interactions. Meeting time is expected to be 2.5 hours (150 minutes).

This group course is created and facilitated by Lindsey Coates Horvatich, a chronically ill and neurodivergent mental health provider who is also married to a “normie” and helps others learn to name and express their needs in relationships. Lindsey is a middle aged, cisgender, white woman who speaks white American English in a slight Southern accent. Closed captions and transcript recording will be available during the course. Please contact Lindsey via email lindsey@salviahealingcollective.com to notify her of any accommodation requests or accessibility needs not later than one week (including the weekend) prior to the course date.

Registration is open until all 12 spaces are full, or one week prior to the group meeting. If a wait list develops, spots will be offered on a first-come-first-serve basis. The instructor will notify you via if there are any changes in your registration status. Paid participants may cancel up to one week prior to the group meeting for a full refund. Cancellations or no shows after the one week mark are not available for refunds.
